In the summer of 2022, I was selected to perform at the New York International Salsa Congress by my dance troupe. Due to the restrictions this placed on where I could be located during the summer and my general availability, I elected to babysit in my free time.
Our performance at NYISC
I was chosen by the alumni of my dance troupe to perform at NYISC. Our team of 8 choreographed and performed the piece in front of professional dancers, student dancers, families, and friends from all over the world. We worked over the summer to choreograph and performed labor day weekend.
From rehearsal...
To our debut...
To our performance!
I was also able to meet one of the founders of our troupe & social dance with him!
I commuted from UPenn's campus to Devon, PA every day to babysit for Leo and Remy (2 years old and 3 months old, respectively, when I started).
Remy grew so much that summer!
I gifted Leo lots of science books...
... which he developed a real interest for!
Leo loved looking for birds outside
I prepped lots of yummy & fulfilling meals
We went on lots of walks
We made a LOT of applesauce
The family took me out for a lovely lunch on my last day and took this photo of me & Remy!
Remy & I did lots of cuddling...
...and lots of playing too!
